When semi permanent make up goes wrong, the consequences can be dire.

The reasons for wanting removal or correction of semi permanent make up can vary from bad work to simply not feeling comfortable with the results. This sort of work requires the most up to date equipment as well as expertise in healing and scar management. When work is done on the face, there is no room for error.

Here at Cheshire Retreat in Altrincham we are able to both remove and correct semi permanent make up. We use a combination of techniques ranging from the Q Switched ND:Yag laser to dry needling and even saline removal in order to correct and/or remove the pigment.

The cost of this is fixed at £50 per session, a free consultation is required in order to patch test the area required for treatment and discuss the amount of sessions that may be required.

The Q-switch laser is proven to be the most effective way of removing a tattoo.
The Laser works best on red, blue and black pigments in tattoos but is not so effective on green and light blue pigments. It is very effective at removing an amateur tattoo.

You will experience a burning sensation throughout although the anaesthetic will help. If it becomes too painful then more medication will be given. Everyone is different when it comes to pain tolerance.

How many sessions will I need?
We often recommend between 10 and 15 treatments to remove a tattoo. Older Tattoos are generally easier to remove than new tattoos as inks now days are designed to last and stay in the skin longer.
